Google DeepMind is launching a new accelerator program in the Asia-Pacific region to support innovators in developing AI-powered solutions to environmental and climate challenges. The three-month program is aimed at startups, research teams, and nonprofit organizations.
The Asia-Pacific region is an important engine for economic growth, but at the same time faces considerable pressure from the impacts of climate change. While green technologies are gaining momentum, a recent report shows they are not scaling fast enough to keep pace with the region’s growing environmental risks.
