Claude on NVIDIA GB300 in Azure Now Generally Available

The Bottom Line: Claude now runs on NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra hardware in Azure, offering enterprise customers improved inference performance for agent-based AI systems.

Anthropic is deploying its Claude models through Microsoft Foundry on Azure systems with NVIDIA GB300 Blackwell Ultra GPUs. This enables enterprises to develop and operate specialized AI agents.

Anthropic and Microsoft are now making Claude models generally available in Microsoft Foundry. The implementation uses NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems with NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand networking on Azure. This addresses growing demand for compute capacity to run specialized AI agents in enterprises.

Improved inference performance and energy efficiency on GB300 hardware reduce operational costs and enable more complex autonomous systems. Enterprises can build specialized sub-agents that perform automated tasks across departments. NVIDIA and Anthropic are integrating NVIDIA tools into the Anthropic stack to give Claude agents domain-specific capabilities.

For secure deployments, NVIDIA provides the Secure Agent Workspace Reference Design. This blueprint model enables the execution of autonomous agents in controlled environments where identity, network access, credentials, and runtime policies are managed at the infrastructure level.

The offering is based on the strategic partnership between Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic from November, which aims to expand Claude availability for enterprises. Interested parties can get started with Claude in Microsoft Foundry and find more information in the documentation.
