The Northern Thuringia region shows a high percentage of companies that have not yet met NIS2 requirements – the Chamber of Industry and Commerce warns of impending consequences.
Austria is implementing the NIS2 Directive with a registration deadline of July 31, affecting approximately 30,000 companies operating critical infrastructure and digital services.
From May 2026, NIS2 requirements will be actively enforced by EU authorities, the implementation deadline expires and enforcement measures take effect.
