Austria is implementing the NIS2 Directive with a registration deadline of July 31, affecting approximately 30,000 companies operating critical infrastructure and digital services.
The BSI extends the NIS2 registration deadline to the end of July as significantly fewer companies than expected have fulfilled their reporting obligations.
Approximately 1,300 CRITIS operators must register by July 17 under the CRITIS Umbrella Act and will thereby be subject to stricter cybersecurity and reporting obligations.
