EU Commission Seeks Stakeholder Feedback on AI in Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals

The gist: The EU Commission is collecting feedback from stakeholders until mid-June 2026 on AI use in medicine and pharmaceuticals to shape regulatory frameworks for faster scaling.

The European Commission is conducting a survey until 26 June 2026 to gather insights on AI deployment in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry. The results are intended to inform future policy measures to accelerate AI adoption.

The European Commission has opened a stakeholder survey running until 26 June 2026 at 17:00 CEST. The survey is directed at healthcare providers, industry representatives (including SMEs and AI solution providers), pharmaceutical companies, professional societies, patient organisations and industry associations.

The survey aims to capture benefits, success factors and barriers to AI adoption. It follows the publication of the Apply-AI strategy in October 2025 and focuses on measures specifically relevant to healthcare and pharmaceuticals. A key focus is on the practical impact and scalability of solutions that are ready for broader implementation.

For Chief Data Officers and those responsible for regulatory compliance, the survey is relevant as the insights gained will feed directly into future EU policy measures. This concerns both the design of regulatory frameworks and technical standards for responsible AI deployment in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals and medicine, where stringent compliance requirements apply.

Participation takes a maximum of 15 minutes. Responses are treated confidentially and analysed only in aggregated form.
