In Brief: KPMG is rolling out Claude enterprise-wide to 276,000 employees and embedding the technology in its Digital Gateway platform to automate workflows in tax, legal, and cybersecurity.
KPMG is building a global alliance with Anthropic and anchoring Claude in its Digital Gateway platform and across the entire organization. The audit, tax, and consulting firm is making the AI model available to all 276,000+ employees and leveraging it for client work in tax, law, and private equity.
KPMG has announced a global strategic alliance with Anthropic. The company is one of the world’s largest providers of audit, tax, legal advice, and business consulting in 138 countries and territories. At the core of the alliance, Claude will be integrated directly into Digital Gateway – the software platform where KPMG employees and clients conduct their daily work. The implementation will begin with new tools for tax and legal clients.
For Chief Digital Officers, this represents an operational shift: making Claude available enterprise-wide to all 276,000+ employees requires new governance, security, and integration structures. KPMG is using its Trusted AI Framework to manage this rollout phase. Collaboration between KPMG and Anthropic teams also focuses on cybersecurity – Claude will help identify and remediate vulnerabilities in critical systems.
The Digital Gateway platform, which runs on Microsoft Azure, will be enhanced with Claude Cowork and Managed Agents. This significantly accelerates the development of new AI capabilities: an AI agent that helps clients adapt to changing tax regulations previously took weeks to build using multiple tools. With integrated Claude, the same capability now takes minutes.
KPMG will also become a Preferred Partner for private equity firms that want to deploy Claude and Anthropic’s Agents in their portfolio companies. This positions KPMG as an implementation partner for AI transformation in PE-backed enterprises. The two companies will co-develop new Claude-powered products with shared clients.
