The Essentials: Anthropic releases ten preconfigured AI agents for financial services that integrate with Microsoft 365 and automate time-consuming tasks. Claude Opus 4.7 leads industry benchmarks and enables implementation in days rather than months.
Anthropic introduces ten specialized agent templates for financial services. These automate time-consuming tasks such as pitch book creation, KYC screening, and monthly close – and accelerate implementation from months to days.
The new agent templates are available as plugins for Claude Cowork and Claude Code as well as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents, enabling financial teams to deploy Claude-based solutions quickly in their workflows.
Additionally, Claude now integrates with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook (Outlook coming soon) via dedicated add-ins for Microsoft 365. These enable seamless data exchange between applications – work can be started in Claude and continued directly in presentations without needing to re-explain details.
The partner ecosystem grows through new connectors and an MCP app that link agents with data sources that financial professionals already rely on. While connectors provide controlled real-time access to data repositories, MCP apps additionally integrate the providers’ tools directly into Claude.
Claude Opus 4.7 delivers top performance on financial tasks and leads the Vals AI Finance Agent Benchmark with a score of 64.37 percent. Each agent template functions as a reference architecture with three components: skills (task-specific instructions), connectors (controlled data access), and sub-agents (specialized models for subtasks such as comparable selection or methodology validation). Organizations can adapt the templates to their own modeling standards, risk policies, and approval processes.
