Nowadays, advanced malware is no longer needed to penetrate a corporate network. In many cases, simply registering is sufficient. This is because identity management has evolved far beyond a routine IT administration function. Instead, they serve as a core control layer in today’s enterprise infrastructures and have become the primary target, particularly as the proliferation of AI agents has dramatically increased the number of non-human identities (NHIs). This represents a groundbreaking transformation in IT security, yet many organizations have not yet strategically adapted to it. The transition to cloud-based infrastructures, widespread remote work, and the increasing adoption of agent-based AI systems are increasingly blurring traditional network perimeters.
