Anthropic provides ten pre-configured agent templates specifically for recurring tasks in the financial sector. This makes it possible to implement complex processes such as pitchbook creation, KYC screening and month-end closes in days rather than months.
The new templates are available in multiple formats: as plugins in Claude Cowork and Claude Code as well as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents. They enable seamless integration into existing workflows and significantly accelerate the digitalization of financial processes.
The agent templates can be integrated directly into Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word via new add-ins. The system automatically transfers relevant context between different applications. Outlook integration is coming soon.
Data access is provided via new connectors and an MCP app that enable agents to connect to existing data sources used by financial professionals. The connectors provide governed real-time access to data repositories, while MCP apps can embed provider tools directly.
The portfolio comprises five specialized research agents – the Pitch Builder, Meeting Preparer, Earnings Reviewer, Model Builder and Market Researcher – as well as five operations agents for back-office work: Valuation Reviewer, General Ledger Reconciler, Month-end Closer, Statement Auditor and KYC Screener. Each template combines domain expertise, data connectors and sub-agents for specialized tasks.
In a benchmark test by Vals AI, Claude Opus 4.7 achieved a score of 64.37 percent in the Finance Agent Benchmark.
